Ethics in Science: stem cells research: Note taking and organisation

Resources to support the Year 8 research study into the ethics of using stem cells.

Effective note taking

Organise your notes

Taking notes into test conditions

You may think 'open book exams' or tests will be easy. After all, you have all your notes with you, right?

Wrong! You will not have time to trawl through large amounts of notes and pages to find the information needed to complete the task.

You need to have your notes organised, perhaps colour coded, and set out using headings or sub-headings. Use bold font to make ideas and information stand out. Use mind maps, tables and diagrams so you can understand a concept easily.
