Mater Christi Learning Commons: Study Skills

Resources, research support and skill development

What is Study Skills?

Study skills are the habits that you develop to help you to cope with the demands of your academic life. It could be something as simple as keeping a diary to stay organised or a system for notetaking in class.

I need help!

Feeling overwhelmed? Sometimes you need to get some support around you to work your way out of the study maze.

  • Year 7-9s have Homework Club on a Wednesday night after school in the Learning Commons.
  • Year 10-12s can chat with their pastoral care teacher, or their Year Level Coordinator or come and chat with the Learning Commons staff.

Stay on track

Either turn your phone off or use a productivity app to keep you focused while studying.
